FMOC-Ala-OH
FMOC-Alanine (N-Fmoc-L-Alanine), also known as (S)-2-((((9H-fluoren-9-yl)methoxy)carbonyl)amino)propanoic acid, is an amino acid derivative that is synthesized by protecting L-alanine with the Fmoc (fluorenylmethyloxycarbonyl) group. It is widely used in peptide synthesis and pharmaceutical research.
Literature reports indicate that FMOC-Ala-OH can be utilized in the synthesis of a heterocyclic derivative, (S)-5-(1-aminoethyl)-2-(3-(cyclopropylmethoxy)-4-methoxyphenyl)-N-(2,4-difluorobenzyl)-thiazol-4-carboxamide hydrochloride. This compound, included in drug formulations, exhibits strong affinity for PDE4 and demonstrates significant therapeutic effects, particularly for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
FMOC-Ala-OH, as an amino acid derivative, is also associated with metabolic hormone secretion, fuel supply during exercise, and mental performance during stress-related tasks. Furthermore, it has shown effectiveness in preventing muscle damage caused by physical exertion.
